Being assigned this assignment, you were told to draw yourself with an intriguing aspect to it as well. The lighting on this photo is only so harsh due to the lighting from outside. I drew myself using graphite pencils. For the intense highlighting I used a white prismacolor. Prismacolor pencils were also used in the design of the blood. I wanted to exude a very dramatic, strange feeling and I feel that I have achieved that with this.
The opacity project I was quite clueless as to what to draw. I came to the conclusion of drawing a bland bag of triscuits. I had to think of a creative way to add interest to the bag and the wheats. To do so I drew very prominent, striking rays of highlights throughout the exterior of the bag. To add depth I created shadows within the bag.
This is a graphite progression of a Krackel chocolate unwrapping. It is as well a progression from shades of light to dark.
For the egg project we were all instructed to do bright colorful eggs and a vibrant background. I wanted mine to stand out from everyone else's so I chose to draw a plain brown egg but add that hint of vibrancy with the egg yolk. I am very pleased with the outcome of this. The medium I used is Prismacolor chalk pastels.
Using Prismacolors as well as a Dum Dum I drew this. I chose to draw the Dum Dum on a black sheet of paper to really have the colors pop; especially the white wrapper.
Using charcoal, I drew a still life image. It's not realism at all but considering the size of the paper, I knew I would not be able to approach this the way I would have preferred. The compositional sketches were important to get a general feeling as to understanding the layout. I was challenged with this because of how faded the entire drawing looks. Definitely did not turn out how I was hoping
The medium I used to draw the candy evolution are charcoal pencils - great for going in with detail and blending in shades of grey. As you can see this definitely has it's struggles and could use some more time haha.
